RoyalPand app: install, biometric unlock and the mobile lobby

The RoyalPand app mirrors the web lobby but adds biometric unlock, mobile-only tournament slots and push notifications for table opens. Install, sign-in and KYC follow the same three-step flow used on web.

Install on Android

The RoyalPand Android app is distributed as an APK from the official site. Google Play does not host real-money gaming apps in India; RoyalPand follows the standard sideload pattern. The APK is signed by the operator; the SHA-256 fingerprint is published in the footer of the official download page.

  1. Enable install from unknown sources for the browser you use to download. Android prompts this automatically the first time.
  2. Download the APK from the official RoyalPand site. Compare the SHA-256 fingerprint with the published value before installing.
  3. Open the APK and confirm the install prompt. The app appears on the home screen with the RoyalPand glyph.

Install on iOS

The RoyalPand iOS app is available on the App Store in India. Search "RoyalPand" by exact name; do not install apps that share a similar name or icon. The first launch asks for camera permission (KYC selfie), notification permission (table-open alerts) and Face ID permission (biometric unlock). All three are optional but recommended.

Biometric unlock

After the first OTP sign-in, the app prompts for biometric unlock. Fingerprint on Android; Face ID or Touch ID on iOS. The biometric unlock replaces the OTP on the same device — it does not bypass OTP on a new device. If biometric unlock fails three times, the app falls back to OTP for that session.

Mobile-only tournaments

RoyalPand runs a small set of tournaments that are visible only in the app — typically 30-minute slots with capped stakes and a fixed player count. These tournaments are not visible on the web lobby. They use the same verification, same RNG and same withdrawal flow; they exist to give mobile users a faster session format.

Push notifications

The app sends push notifications for table opens, friend requests and friend joins. Notifications can be turned off in the device settings; the app itself does not expose a notification preferences page. Notifications are not used for promotional offers; RoyalPand's own privacy notice covers the data shared with the push provider.

App vs web — what is different

The app and the web lobby share a single RoyalPand account. Sign-in on one device signs you out of the other unless "stay signed in" was selected. KYC, deposits and withdrawals work identically. The only differences are biometric unlock on app, mobile-only tournaments and push notifications. If your priority is fast table access from a single device, the app is the better choice; if you switch between desktop and mobile, the web lobby with a seven-day session cookie is simpler.

The RoyalPand app does not request storage permission, contacts access or location. It asks for camera (KYC selfie), notifications (table alerts) and biometric (fingerprint or Face ID). Anything beyond those three should be treated as suspicious.

App permissions in detail

The RoyalPand app requests three permissions at first launch: camera (for KYC selfie), notifications (for table alerts) and biometric (fingerprint or Face ID for unlock). All three are optional but recommended. The camera permission is mandatory for KYC; users who decline must complete KYC on the web lobby instead. The notifications permission is opt-in; users who decline can re-enable notifications in the device settings without re-installing the app.

The biometric permission is opt-in on first launch. Users who decline can enable it later from the app settings. The biometric unlock replaces the OTP on the same device only; a new device always requires a fresh OTP regardless of any biometric setting. The biometric template is stored on the device, not on RoyalPand's servers, in compliance with platform biometric-storage rules.

App performance on low-end devices

The RoyalPand app is lightweight — under 50 MB on Android, under 80 MB on iOS. The app runs on Android 8 and above, and iOS 14 and above. Low-end devices from 2019 onwards run the app without perceptible lag; devices from 2017 or earlier may see slow frame rates during table animation. The app does not require a high-end GPU; it uses standard mobile-rendering primitives.

Memory usage on the app is typically 80-120 MB during a table session. On a device with 2 GB of RAM or less, the app may be evicted by the operating system during background tasks. Users on low-memory devices should disable background app refresh for non-essential apps and avoid running the RoyalPand app alongside memory-heavy apps like streaming video.

App updates and changelog (entry 2)

The app surfaces a "what's new" prompt after each update. The changelog is also published on the App Store and Google Play listing pages. Recent versions have focused on the responsible-play controls, withdrawal TAT improvements and the addition of mobile-only tournaments. Major version bumps happen every four to six weeks; minor patches ship as needed.

Users can opt in or out of automatic updates through the device settings. The app does not require the latest version to function — older versions continue to work but may be missing recent features. Users who have set the app to update automatically get the new version within twenty-four hours of release.
